He studied Marine Biology and Master in Marine Science at UCN. His main interests are in the reproductive biology of rock shrimp, which was the topic of his undergraduate thesis. He during his Master research studied the temporal succession of floating algae and the fauna associated with them in the south of Chile (X and XI región). Now he is looking for to improve his scientific abilities through a PhD. His hobbies are nature films and photography which he uses to raise interests in the common public for biological conservation (see below). Occasionally he escapes into higher spheres with paragliders along the coastal mountains of the Coquimbo region.
