He studied Marine Biology at Universidad Catolica del Norte. He has an ample experience in diving works. He has a professional diver licence, which allowed him to develop an interesting thesis about the response behavior of the kelps isopod Limnoria chilensis with underwater experiments. Actually he works on projects related to rafting.
